The annual Purbeck Aware festival will take place from Saturday 16th May until Sunday 14th June and includes guided nature walks, seabird boat trips, art exhibitions and lots to keep the children amused during half term. This year's theme is linked to the Natural Landscape programme of the Purbeck Keystone Project who part fund the guide and promotions. The Purbeck Mineral & Mining Museum will be taking part by giving a walking talk on Purbeck's Underground Jewel. In 1851 for the great Exhibition, Herbert Byng wrote "Purbeck clay is a jewel more valuable to the people than the great diamond Koh-i-noor" Come and find out why. Date:- Wednesday 27th May Time:- 10.30am Place:- meet at the Old Foreman's Office on the
