Clay Workers

At Goathorn

Can you Help?   Joyce Meates would love to hear from you if you can.

As Secretary of Studland History Group I am in the process of putting together a book on Goathorn and its forgotten Clay working community.

Does anyone have any family memories, information or photos of former Goathorn residents, they could share with me?

Family names listed on the 1901 census include, Churchill, Harris, Green, Parker, Stockley, Battrick, Cattle, Tubb, Burdle and Marshallsay.

I am a descendant of the Churchill family.

Please contact me on 01929 439245.

Joyce Meates.
